Emerging Insights
Architecture is a portal for Emergence.
The potential of ‘Architecture’ to be a catalyst for both internal and external transformation is profound. This is meant in both the metaphysical (conceptual / spiritual) and physical (literal / manifest) sense.
This is something I have been able speak into recently teaching The University of Sydney, Summer Intensive, inspired by a previous course I’d created for Masters Architecture Students.
“Living Belongings”for “@home_as_country” were being created this time to send to the Venice Biennale. This teaching invitation came from colleague Dr Michael Mossman and was a collaboration with the Indigenous Curatorial Directors for the globally anticipated 2025 Architecture Biennale in Venice, Italy. The intensive was run across 12 Universities Nationally, online and in person.
As in Systemic Coaching Sessions, we commenced with meditation, grounding connection to our inner, personal centre, instigating an experiential remembering that we ARE Country. Always belonging to and within this expanded field of Awareness. This is a visceral knowing, distinct from thought, it is felt; Country’s wellbeing is mutually intertwined with OUR wellbeing, this is the true nature of Custodianship.
We BELONG to Country.
These are essential existential truths, natural laws.
After, discussing the potentials in the students creations, considerations of activating the pedagogical value of their work were prompted. BEING in alignment with this awareness is a form of Activism. As our lives and what we create are themselves teaching a state of consciousness.
The somatic embodiment of experience through both the process and the outcome were explored. With only natural elements endorsed in the making. Consideration of relationships cultivated for mutual respect and reciprocity necessary. Listening deeply we can hear Country’s generous prompts recalling our purpose; to care for the balance of all life through holistic practice. The objects created were imbued with this meaning.
Witnessing the internal transformation of each person invited into authentic learning environments, encouraging a returning trust in relational intuition, and developing the reconnection to and gaining confidence in this expression- is my true purpose and calling.
Feeling deeply grateful to be walking in this liminal space of the grounded ethereal, as a trained Architect, Systemic Constellation Coach and Energy Therapist.
The emergence of the new world of balance and wellbeing we are co-envisioning and co-creating calls on you combining your gifts, skills and passions in wholeness.
